Recordings made with built-in samples / synthesis

The AETHER CURRENTS built-in sound library and synthesis engine output are © Sinaida and licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). Every recording made with the built-in sounds embeds this licensed material, so the license travels with your recording.

You may use, edit, remix, distribute and monetize such recordings — commercially or not — under one condition, and it is mandatory, not optional:

Attribution is required everywhere the audio appears. Wherever you publish it — a video description, a track's credits, a social media caption, streaming metadata, liner notes — you must include:

Made with AETHER CURRENTS by Sinaida — sinaida.eu

Where a platform allows links, link to sinaida.eu. Recordings published without this attribution are not licensed. The attribution frame burned into exported videos must not be cropped or obscured.

Recordings using microphone audio

AETHER CURRENTS does not accept audio file uploads — the only way to add your own sound is to record it live through your microphone, so every custom sample is necessarily something you performed or captured yourself in the moment. You are still responsible for the rights to whatever you record (e.g. don't hold a phone playing someone else's copyrighted track up to the mic). AETHER CURRENTS makes no claim over your source material and accepts no liability for it (see Terms).

The attribution requirement above still applies to every recording exported from the tool, regardless of source material — it is a condition of the Terms of Use.

The tool's own code

The AETHER CURRENTS source code is released under the MIT License.
