AETHER CURRENTS does not use cookies, does not run analytics, and has no accounts. There is no server behind this tool beyond the static files you're reading right now.

WHAT THIS SITE STORES

Key	Purpose
ac.consent	Remembers that you've seen and accepted this notice.
ac.mode	Your last chosen mode — FULL or LIGHT.
ac.bg	Your background choice — VOID or CAM.
ac.osd	Whether the VHS webcam overlay is on or off.

That's all — four keys, nothing else. Clearing your browser storage removes all of them.

WHAT NEVER LEAVES YOUR DEVICE

• Camera. Your video feed is processed entirely inside your browser, on your device, using the on-device hand-tracking model. Frames are never transmitted anywhere, never stored, and never leave your machine.
• Audio. Any microphone capture or sample audio you load stays local, in memory, for as long as your session runs.
• Recordings. Video/audio recordings you make are rendered locally and download straight to your device — they are never uploaded to a server.

THIRD-PARTY FETCHES

Two static files are fetched from third-party CDNs at load time: the MediaPipe hand-tracking library and model file, served from Google's and jsDelivr's CDNs. These are standard file requests — the server sees a normal HTTP request for a static asset, nothing about your session, your camera, or your usage. No video or gesture data is ever sent there.
